Day 1
Overnight flight to Thessaloniki, Greece. (D)
Day 2
Arrive in Thessaloniki, Greece second largest city in Greece and the capital of Macedonia. Tour group will be met at airport and assisted with arrival procedures. Dinner and overnight in Thessaloniki. (B,D)
Day 3
We will follow the route of the Via Egnatia and visit, like Paul and his companions, the area of Amphipolis, to see the famous funerary Lion of Amphipolis. The Apostle Paul traveled through Amphipolis on his way to Thessaloniki around 49-50 C.E. (Acts 17:1). Christianity eventually became a major force here and the city became home to at least five impressive churches in the 5th and 6th centuries. In Philippi (Acts 16:9-40), the first place in Europe where the apostle Paul and Silas preached, we will visit the ruins, the tribunal (Bema) where Paul was beaten, the prison where Paul and Silas were held in wooden stocks, and the small “Church of Lydia”, the stream where Paul baptized Lydia, the first Christian convert on European soil followed by the conversion of the jailer. Then we travel onto Philippi. and the conversion of the jailer followed. We continue our drive to Kavala (ancient Neopolis) (Acts 16:9-11), one of the most attractive port towns in Greece from where Paul sailed, visited and preached. Return to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 4
Today finds us touring picturesque Veria (Berea) and flourishing Thessaloniki, both important stops in the ministry of the Apostle Paul. In Veria, (Beria-Acts 17: 10-15), we will view the monument commemorating the site where Paul preached to the locals in AD 54. Paul visited Berea three times as did Silas and Timothy. In Thessaloniki, we will tour the 5th-century Church of Agios Dimitrios, Greece’s largest church and renowned for stunning mosaics and frescoes and St. George’s Basilica, believed to be built over the synagogue where Paul preached. (Acts 17:11) Time permitting we plan to also visit the church of Ayia Sophia. Continue to Kalambaka for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 5
This morning you see the world famous Byzantine monasteries that are perched precariously on summits of gray rock pinnacles of varied and beautiful shapes. Their history goes back to the 14th century when the monks sought refuge in the cliff-side caves, then fled higher to build the original wooden shelters, which were later transformed into monasteries. Continue to Athens for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 6
We sail this morning from Athens to the quaint isle of Mykonos, the island of windmills. Experience the waterfront lined with shops and cafes and then stroll the charming walkways through a maze of dazzling whitewashed buildings before returning to the ship for dinner. B,L,D)
Day 7
In the morning we will arrive in Kusadasi, Turkey, and drive to Ephesus, where Paul spent three years during his ministry. The impressive remains of Ephesus include the Agora, the Theater, the Stadium, the Library of Celsius, the ruins of the Temple of Diana (one of the “Seven Wonders of the Ancient World”) and many more. Later we sail for Patmos, Greece. On Patmos, Optional Excursion (fee is not included in the cruise price) to the Monastery and Grotto of St John. Departing the port of Skala by motor coach enjoy the short drive up to the Monastery of St John, which has been magnificently built within the walls of a strong fortification. Walk uphill towards the entrance of the Monastery; view the courtyard, the Monks’ dining room and the main church with its outstanding frescoes and the small but beautiful museum. Continue on to the nearby Grotto of the Apocalypse where above stands the church of the Apocalypse. Once inside the grotto, see the silver niches in the wall that mark the pillow and ledge used as a desk by St. John as he wrote the Book of Revelations, and view the three-fold crack made by the Voice of God. A full & unforgettable day! Dinner served on board ship. (B,L,D)
Day 8
In the morning arrive at Heraklion, Crete, where you can choose to visit the Minoan Palace of Knossos, home to king Minos and his legendary beast, the Minotaur. In the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, find the unbelievable works of art (pieces of sculpture and pottery, jewelry, arms, frescoes) that have been found in a number of Minoan sites on Crete. Then, sail north to the isle of Santorini, the most breathtaking of all the Greek islands. The exquisite whitewashed villages, including the town of Fira (Thira), cling to volcanic cliffs only accessible by cable car or mule. Dinner on board. (B,L,D)
Day 9
In the morning, we begin our day in Athens, the city with the most glorious history in the world. We begin at the magnificent Acropolis, the crown jewel of Greece! Our guided tour will take us to the Proplylaia, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, The Parthenon- the most famous surviving building of Ancient Greece-and Mars Hill-where the Apostle Paul confronted the idolatrous beliefs of the “Men of Athens” and delivered his famous speech about the identity of “the Unknown God.” (Acts 17). We will continue on to the Dionysus Theater, House of Parliament, and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Odeon of Herodes, and the ancient Agora (marketplace). During the bus tour, see Constitution Square with the House of Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Temple of Zeus, the Old Olympic Stadium and the Neoclassical Buildings of Athens. In the afternoon, we continue to Ancient Corinth. This is the once glorious city near the Isthmus, where Paul met Aquila and Priscilla and spent a year and a half preaching the Word of God. Visit the Archaeological Museum, the Forum, the Temples and the famous Bema, where Paul stood before Gallio, accused by the Jews of Corinth. Proceed on to Cenchreae, the little harbor from which Paul sailed back to Asia thus ending his second missionary journey. Return to Athens for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

After breakfast at your hotel transfer to the airport for your flight .(B)
Day 10
After breakfast we transfer to Athens Airport for our flight to Rome. We are met by our Italian representative and transferred to our motor coach for our sightseeing tour of this eternal city. Driving through the main streets of Rome, you will marvel at the monuments of this great capital. Visit the Coliseum, which symbolizes the eternity of the Roman civilization, the Forum and the Piazza Venezia, dominated by the imposing monument to Vittorio Emanuel II. Before returning to our hotel, we stop near the Fontana di Trevi, where, following tradition, one must toss a coin into the fountain, promising a return to Rome! Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B,D)
Day 11
Our first visit will be to the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel, the celebrated Chapel of the Popes and the venue of the Conclaves for Papal elections. It is one of the most splendid masterpieces in the history of world art and is well known around the world for its magnificent ceiling, beautifully decorated by Michelangelo. From here, visit the Basilica of St. Peter, the largest church in the world overlooking the enormous Piazza San Pietro. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B,D)
Day 12
Today we enjoy our sightseeing will include a special visit to the Catacombs where we will explore tunnels and see the carvings on the walls from early Christians. From here we visit the Basilica of St. John Lateran, dedicated to John the Baptist and John the Evangelist, cathedral church of the Diocese of Rome, the Pope and known as “Cathedral of Rome and of the World. Conclude our day with a stop to see the Forum and St. Peter in Chains, a minor basilica that houses St. Peter’s chains. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B,D)
