              TUESDAY, MARCH 6, 2018


              Arrive in Athens, Greece. The tour group will be met at the airport and assisted with arrival procedures. Enjoy a city tour in route to the hotel. Free to relax at the hotel or stroll along the streets of Athens for the remainder of the day. Dinner and overnight in Athens.


              Day 3
              WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7, 2018


              We begin our day in Athens, the city with the most glorious history in the world. We start our day at the magnificent Acropolis, the crown jewel of Greece! Our guided tour will take us to the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, The Parthenon – the most famous surviving building of Ancient Greece, and Mars Hill where the Apostle Paul confronted the idolatrous beliefs of the “Men of Athens” and delivered his famous speech about the identity of “the Unknown God” (Acts 17). We leave Athens for the ancient city of Corinth, the once glorious city near the Isthmus, where Paul met Aquila and Pricilla and spent a year and a half preaching the Word of God. Corinth is the city that inspired Paul’s most famous letters 1st and 2nd Corinthians. We will visit the Archaeological Museum, the Forum, the Temples and the famous Bema, where Paul stood before Gallio accused by the Jews in Corinth. The ruins of this important cultural center are fascinating as we walk along the stone path that the Apostle Paul walked. After the visit to ancient Corinth we will return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.


              Day 4
              THURSDAY, MARCH 8, 2018


              We check out of our hotel and transfer to the Athens Airport for out flight to Tel Aviv, Israel. Tour group will be met at airport and assisted with arrival procedures. The group will depart the airport for short visit to Jaffa, the ancient port city close to Tel Aviv. Jaffa is associated with the biblical stories of Jonah and Simon the Tanner. From here we transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight beside the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.

              Day 5
              FRIDAY, MARCH 9, 2018


              Today we depart for the Galilee enjoying stops at the extensive ruins of Caesarea Maritima, an ancient port city, built by King Herod and later becoming the seat of government of the Roman governors, and where Peter proclaimed the Good News to the Roman centurion (Acts 9 & 25). We continue to Megiddo (the valley of Armageddon) and then to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah prayed and God defeated 450 prophets of Baal with fire from heaven (1 Kings 18). We end our journey at the “Nazareth Village”, a re- created village offering detailed explanation of what life was like during the time of Jesus. As we make our way to Tiberias, we will make a brief stop at Mount Precipice, the traditional site where Jesus disappeared through an angry crowd who attempted to throw Him off the cliff after his bold proclamation in a Nazareth Synagogue. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee.

              Day 6
              SATURDAY, MARCH 10, 2018


              Following breakfast, travel north into the Golan Heights along the Banias River to the ancient site of Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus asked His disciples “who do men say that I am?” (Mark 8: 27-30). We will enjoy a short hike through the beautiful nature reserve of Tel Dan (named for the tribe of Dan) where we will see remains of the 5000-year old ancient city including the Canaanite Gate, the ritual site which recalls the sacrifice of golden calves during the reign of Jeroboam, and the beautiful Dan Springs fed by the snow from Mt. Hermon. Returning to the Sea of Galilee area, we visit Capernaum (Mark 1: 31-38), the base of Jesus’ early ministry, the home of Peter, and the site of many healings. We will take a short drive to the Mt. of Beatitudes to enjoy a time for spiritual reflection and meditation as we reflect on Jesus’ teachings from the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5: 1-15). In the afternoon, we board a replica “Jesus Bot”, a fishing boat of the kind used by the disciples of Jesus, for our boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

              Day 7
              SUNDAY, MARCH 11, 2018


              We start our journey early with a visit to Mt. Arbel to view the panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee. From here we head back to the Sea of Galilee area with a visit to Magdala, the birthplace of Mary Magdalene. Magdala is a first century city discovered in 2009 with a first century synagogue where it is certain Jesus taught. We depart Tiberias for Jerusalem with a brief stop at Beit She’an, one of the best-preserved Decapolis Roman cities. In Beit She’an, the bodies of King Saul and his sons were hung from the city walls (1 Samuel 31:10-12) after the Philistines defeated them. We continue our drive to Jericho to visit the Mount of Temptation (Matt. 4:1-11) where Jesus was tempted by the devil. Following our visit to Jericho, we ascend to the majestic city of Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

              Day 8
              MONDATY, MARCH 12, 2018


              FWe begin our day on the beautiful Mt. of Olives to behold the breathtaking panorama of the Holy City. Our pilgrimage will proceed down the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive grove, and the Church of All Nations, where tradition holds that Jesus prayed on the night of His betrayal (Matt. 26:36, John 18:1). Entering the Old City of Jerusalem through the Lion’s Gate, we walk to the most holy site of the Jewish people, the Western (Wailing) Wall of Herod’s temple. Beyond the wall lies the 35-acre temple area purchased by King David (2 Samuel. 24:18-25). On this site now stands the golden Dome of the Rock (the third holiest shrine in all Islam) and the El-Aksa Mosque. From the temple area, we make our way along the Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross), the road which Jesus walked after being sentenced by Pontius Pilate. Stops include the Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus healed a paralytic (John 5:1-15), the Pavement (where Jesus stood while being tried by Pilate) and the Ecce Homo Arch (“Behold the man” – John 19:5) reaching the Church of the Holy Sepulcher which commemorates the hill of crucifixion and the tomb of Christ’s burial. From here we drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity-the birthplace of Jesus. We end our day with a visit at the church of St. Peter in Gallicantu and Caiaphas House where Jesus was jailed after his arrest by the Romans and the site where Peter denied three time of knowing Jesus before the roster crowed 3 times. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

              Day 9
              TUESDAY, MARCH 13, 2018


              Leaving Jerusalem this morning, we meander through the Judean desert and along the western shore of the Dead Sea. Our first visit is Masada, the fortress built by King Herod and site of the last Jewish resistance against the Romans in 73 AD. Ascending Masada by cable car, we will be able to survey the ruins of the fortifications, waterworks, synagogue, temples and palaces. Continuing along the Dead Sea, we pass by the lovely Ein Gedi, the area where David hid from King Saul (1 Sam. 24: 1-7). We continue to Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were written over 2000 years ago and discovered in 1947. We conclude the day with a relaxing float in the healing waters of the Dead Sea (the lowest spot on earth). **Please be sure to bring swimsuit, towel (from the hotel), and water shoes as the bottom surface can be rough.

              Day 10
              WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14, 2018


              Following breakfast, we head to the Old City to visit the Temple Mount and the Golden Dome. We then drive to the Israel Museum to visit the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Additionally, the 1:50 scale model of Jerusalem, as the city would have appeared in Jesus’ time, will fascinate you! Afterwards we visit the Garden Tomb for a time of quiet reflection, worship, and communion. Following the visit to the Garden Tomb, we head to the Shepherds Field to visit Herodium, the site believe to be have the Tomb of King Herod. We will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

              THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 2018


              Check out of the hotel following breakfast and transfer to the airport for our flight back to the USA.
