DAY 1: MONDAY – DEPART FROM USA TO ISRAEL
Tour members depart USA for our flight to Tel Aviv.

DAY 2: TUESDAY – ARRIVE IN TEL AVIV
In Tel Aviv, we are met by our agent who assists us through customs and security. We transfer to our motor coach for a short drive to our hotel in the Tel Aviv area for our welcome dinner and overnight beside the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.

DAY 3: WEDNESDAY – CAESAREA / MEGIDDO / MT. CARMEL / NAZARETH VILLAGE / GALILEE
Today we depart for the Galilee, visiting the following Biblical sites: Caesarea where Peter proclaimed the Good News to the Roman Centurion (Acts 9 & 25), Megiddo, Mt. Carmel, where Elijah prayed and God defeated 450 prophets of Baal with fire from heaven (1 Kings 18). We will enjoy a short stop for lunch at a Druze Village and then continue to Nazareth Village-a recreated village offering detailed explanation of what life was like during the time of Jesus. As we leave Nazareth, we will pass by Cana as we head to Tiberias for overnight on the shore of the Sea of Galilee.

DAY 4: THURSDAY – GOLAN HEIGHTS / CAESARA PHILIPPI / TEL DAN / JORDAN RIVER (FOR BAPTISMS)
Following breakfast, we depart for the Golan Heights traveling along the Banias River to the ancient site of Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus asked His disciples “who do men say that I am?” (Mark 8:27-30). After this stop, we continue a short distance and will enjoy a short hike through the beautiful nature reserve of Tel Dan (named for the tribe of Dan) where we will see the ancient gate of Jeroboam. Returning to Tiberias, we end our day with a visit to the Yardenit, a baptismal site on the Jordan River. There will be an opportunity for baptisms here. We return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight on the Sea of Galilee.

DAY 5: FRIDAY – BOAT RIDE ON THE SEA OF GALILEE / MOUNT OF BEATITUDES / CAPERNAUM / TABGHA / / BEIT SHE’AN / DEAD SEA AREA
After breakfast, we begin our special time in the Galilee, rich in memories of the life of Jesus, with an early morning boat ride to on the Sea of Galilee. We soon ascent to the Mt. of Beatitudes where we enjoy time for prayer and meditation as we reflect on Jesus’ teachings from the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5: 1-15) while enjoying the beautiful view of the Sea of Galilee. We then drive along the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum (Mark 1: 31-38), the base of Jesus’ early ministry, the home of Peter, and the site of many healings and to Tabgha, traditional site of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes (Mark 6:30-44). In the afternoon, we begin our drive south, enjoying a brief visit to Beit She’an, one of the best-preserved Decapolis Roman cities. In Beit She’an, the bodies of King Saul and his sons were hung from the city walls (1 Samuel 31:10- 12) after the Philistines defeated them. We continue the drive south to Dead Sea area, the lowest spot on earth, for dinner and overnight. Enjoy a swim/float in the healing waters of the Dead Sea at the end of this full day (time permitting)!

DAY 6: SATURDAY – MASADA / EIN GEDI / QUMRAN / DEAD SEA / JERUSALEM
After breakfast, we drive to Masada to ascend the wilderness mountain by way of cable car to the fortress built by King Herod. Here we survey the ruins of fortifications, synagogue, temples and palaces. We head to Ein Gedi where David hid from King Saul and will take a very short hike to see the lowest water fall in this beautiful desert oasis. From here we make our way to Qumran and the settlement of the first century sect known as the Essenes, authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls. We make a special stop at the Dead Sea (the lowest spot on earth) for a short swim (if unable to do the night before- time permitting). Leaving the Dead Sea, we soon ascend to the majestic city of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 7: SUNDAY – MOUNT OF OLIVES, PALM SUNDAY ROAD, GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE / HOLY SEPULCHER / JEWISH QUARTERS / THE WESTERN WALL TUNNEL (RABBI’S TUNNEL)
We begin the day on the beautiful Mount of Olives to behold the breathtaking panorama of the Holy City. Our pilgrimage will proceed down the Old Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive grove, and the Church of Agony, where tradition holds that Jesus prayed. We will enter Jerusalem through the Zion Gate, and walk to the holiest site in the whole Jewish world, the Western (Wailing) Wall of Herod’s temple. Beyond the wall lies the 35-acre temple area purchased by King David (2 Samuel. 24:18-25). On this site now stand El-Aksa Mosque, and the magnificent Dome of the Rock (the third holiest shrine in Islam). From the temple area, we make our way to St. Stephen’s Gate, to walk the Via Dolorosa including St. Anne’s Crusader Church, Pools of Bethesda, the Pavement (where Jesus stood while being tried by Pilate), Ecce Homo Arch, and the ancient Cardo. We continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. A short walk takes us to stand on the original steps (Southern Steps) that Jesus walked on as he entered the Temple area. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. After dinner we return to the Western Wall to visit the Rabbis’ Tunnel.

DAY 8: MONDAY – CITY OF DAVID INCLUDING HEZEKIAH’S TUNNEL / ST PETER’S GALLICANTU / UPPER ROOM / BETHLEHEM
After breakfast, we will drive to the City of David – excellent archeological remains of King David’s period and that of the King of Judah (2 Samuel 5: 8-10). Here we will have the opportunity to walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel, the 2700 year old water tunnel dug during the reign of King Hezekiah (2 Chron. 32:30) experiencing the wonders of early engineering ending at the Pool of Siloam where Jesus healed the blind man by spitting on the ground. From here we make our way to the Church of Agony at St. Peter Gallicantu, the site of the house of Caiphas and where three times, Peter denied Christ. We soon make a visit to the Upper Room where Jesus and His disciples partook of their Last Supper together. We end our day with a visit to Bethlehem. We will pass by Shepherd’s Field where the angel of the Lord proclaimed the Good News of the birth of the Savior on our way to visit the Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of or Lord. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

**A flashlight and good water shoes will be helpful should you choose to walk through Hezekiah’s tunnel.

DAY 9: TUESDAY – ISRAEL MUSEUM INCLUDING THE SHRINE OF THE BOOK / RE-WALKING the VIA DOLOROSA / RE-VISIT THE CHURCH OF the HOLY SEPULCHER / GARDEN TOMB / YAD VASHEM
This morning we will head to the Israel Museum to visit the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are on displayed. Additionally, the 1:50 scale model of Jerusalem, as the city would have appeared in Jesus’ time will fascinate all! From here we will go back to the Old City to re-walk the Via Dolorosa ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher followed by a special visit to Golgotha, ‘The Place of the Skull’ where our Lord dies for our sins and the Garden Tomb. We will tour the Garden and spend time at the empty tomb where our Lord rose from the dead, pardoning us. There will be time to linger and individually contemplate this wonderful place. We conclude our time in Jerusalem with communion in the Garden celebrating our salvation. Following our visit to the Garden Tomb, we will head to Yad Vashem -the Memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. This visit will take about 2 hours. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 10: WEDNESDAY – FREE DAY
There is no organized tour planned for today. This is a day for relaxation, return on own to the Old City to shop or take a walk along the Rampart Wall to see Jerusalem from a different vantage point. Farewell dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 11: THURSDAY – RETURN TO THE U.S.A.
Following breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for the Tel Aviv airport for the flight back to the USA.
