Overview
“Highlights of Egypt” Tour with a Nile River Cruise
Journey through 5,000 years of history in the land where so much of Scripture unfolded. You’ll begin in Cairo, standing before the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, walking the Coptic Quarter where the Holy Family sheltered from Herod, and wandering the spice-scented lanes of the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. A short flight then carries you south to Luxor, where you’ll board a Nile cruise ship — your home for four nights as you sail between the Valley of the Kings, the great temple complexes of Karnak and Edfu, and the sunlit city of Aswan. Along the way you’ll walk the very ground where the bondage and the Exodus took place, and see the places you’ve read about your whole life with your own eyes.

Day 1: Thursday, March 2, 2028 — Depart the USA for Cairo, Egypt
Day 2: Friday, March 3, 2028 — Cairo
Arrival at Cairo International Airport. Reception by our representative and assistance with immigration procedures, visa, and customs. Transfer to hotel and overnight.

Day 3: Saturday, March 4, 2028 — Cairo
Today you step into the magnificent city of Cairo where you’ll hear an array of sounds from donkey carts to the muezzins’ call to prayer from dueling minarets. This city will transport you back more than 3000 years as you explore, see, and stand amazed at the Pyramids — one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world.

Day 4: Sunday, March 5, 2028 — Cairo
While Cairo has stood for 1000 years on the same site along the Nile River, today we will see how the city juxtaposes ancient and new, East and West. The extremes of architecture will be visible today as we venture through ancient burial grounds of Egyptian royalty (3rd dynasty), Coptic Cairo (130 CE), medieval Islamic era (10-12th centuries), amidst modern skyscrapers of today. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 5: Monday, March 6, 2028 — Cairo / Luxor
Short flight this morning takes us to what has been called “the world’s greatest open-air museum,” Luxor in upper southern Egypt. Modern Luxor is the site of the famous city of Thebes, capital of Egypt from the twelfth dynasty (1991 BC) reaching its zenith during the New Kingdom. Ruins of the Egyptian temple complexes at Karnak and Luxor stand within the modern city. Immediately opposite, across the River Nile, lie the monuments, temples and tombs of the west bank Theban Necropolis, which includes the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. Meals and overnight on cruise ship.

Day 6: Tuesday, March 7, 2028 — Luxor / Edfu
Step back into 1400 BC today as you visit the Eastern shore of Luxor. It was here that Thutmose III planned his campaigns, Akhenaten first contemplated the nature of god, and Rameses II set out his ambitious building program. This massive temple complex was the principal religious center of the cult god Amun-Re during 1550 to 1070 BC. It was during this period that the bondage and the Exodus occurred. Overnight on cruise ship.

Day 7: Wednesday, March 8, 2028 — Edfu / Kom-Ombo / Aswan
A flourishing Greek city in ancient times, today the city of Edfu is known for its farm grown sugar cane and decorative pottery. Once partly covered by silt during the periodic flooding of the Nile River, today enjoy the best-preserved temples in Egypt built during the Ptolemaic era. Overnight on cruise ship.

Day 8: Thursday, March 9, 2028 — Aswan
Today begins with enjoying the beautiful Nile Valley scenery in the vibrant city of Aswan in southern Egypt. It is considered one of the sunniest places on earth, has a large population of Nubian people who resettled here after the flooding of their homeland and is the location of Aswan High Dam which was built in 1960 to end the flooding of the Nile and bring electric power to Egypt.

**Any passenger who does not have an assigned roommate by the final payment due date will be charged the Single Supplement Fee. If after the final payment due date, a person can be assigned to the person needing a roommate, then the Single Supplement Fee will be refunded to the person charged for the Single Supplement Fee.

Cancellation Policies
The below cancellation penalties and refund policy will apply for all travelers who choose not to abide by a country’s official travel restrictions.

- Any individual canceling between the date of registration and the Final Payment Due Date (Final Payment Due Date is 100 days prior to the tour departure date) will be penalized a Non-refundable, Non-transferrable $500 per person deposit and plus any non-refundable third-party supplier cost/s
- Any individual canceling between 99 – 85 days prior to the scheduled departure date we will be penalized the entire tour deposit plus 10% of the total tour cost and any nonrefundable payments to any third-party supplier.
- Any individual canceling between 84- 55 days prior to the scheduled departure date we will be penalized 50% of the total tour cost plus any nonrefundable payments to any third-party supplier.
- Any individual canceling between 54 – 45 days prior to the scheduled departure date will be penalized 80 % of the total tour cost plus any nonrefundable payments to any third-party supplier.
- Any individual canceling between 44 – 0 days prior to the scheduled departure date will be penalized 100 % of the total tour cost.
- Any individual canceling less than 60 days prior to the tour departure date and causes their assigned roommate to room alone and if there is no one to be assigned as the person’s roommate, then the person canceling will be responsible to pay the Single Supplement fee.
- If a roommate is subsequently found for the remaining roommate, then the Single Supplement fee will be refunded to the canceling individual.
- Allow up to 8 weeks for any refund to be issued.
