Carol Kent is a bestselling author and an international speaker for conferences and retreats.  As a former Bible Study Fellowship teaching leader, she loves to encourage people to impact lives like Jesus did.  Carol is the executive director of the Speak Up Conference, an event committed to helping people develop their speaking and writing skills. Carol holds a master’s degree in communication arts and a bachelor’s degree in speech education. She has trained Christian speakers for over 25 years, and she has been a featured speaker at Women of Faith, Extraordinary Women, and Women of Joy arena events.  Carol is the author of over twenty-five books, including the bestselling When I Lay My Isaac Down, Becoming a Woman of Influence, and He Holds My Hand.

Carol is a best-selling author, popular speaker, and noted podcaster who teaches the Word of God with great joy and enthusiasm. Carol encourages and empowers women with passionate and practical biblical messages mixed with her own special brand of hope and humor.  
Her 17th book, “Overflowing: Living Abundantly in a Broken Culture,” a Bible study of the book of Colossians, will be released in June 2024 and will feature an accompanying video-teaching series filmed at the 20th Annual Carol McLeod Ministries Conference in Buffalo, NY.

DAY 1: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 -USA TO THESSALONIKI, GREECE
Overnight flight to Thessaloniki – dinner on flight.

DAY 2: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2025 – THESSALONIKI
Arrive in Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece today and the capital of ancient  Macedonia.  Tour group will be met at airport and assisted with arrival procedures.

DAY 3: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2025 – THESSALONIKI

  • Free day to rest or explore Thessaloniki on own
  • Take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront promenade of Nikis Avenue, lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops. Enjoy views of the sea and the city’s modern skyline as you soak in the lively atmosphere.

DAY 4: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2025 – THESSALONIKI/ PHILIPPI / KAVALA
Our journey today traces the footsteps of Paul’s entrance into Macedonia as we learn about early Christian converts in Europe.

  • Kavala (ancient Neapolis- Acts 16:9-11)
  • In ancient times, it was an important port city known for its strategic location and commercial activity. Paul and his companions traveled to Neapolis by boat, marking the beginning of their mission in Europe.
  • Phillipi (Acts 16:9-40)
  • Philippi was an ancient city in eastern Macedonia, Greece. It was established by King Philip II of Macedon, the father of Alexander the Great, in the 4th century BCE and was named after him. In Acts 16:9-40, the Apostle Paul and his companions visited Philippi during their missionary journey.
  • Lydia’s Stream (Acts 16:13-15)
  • Paul and his companions went outside the city gates on the Sabbath to a place of prayer, where they met a group of women gathered by the riverside. Lydia was among them, and she became the first convert to Christianity in Philippi after hearing Paul’s message.

DAY 5: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2025 – VERIA (BEREA) / VERGINA / KALAMBAKA
Departing Thessaloniki, we  visit Veria (Berea), a significant site where Paul found refuge after being compelled to leave Thessaloniki amidst a hostile crowd. We also explore the splendid royal tombs situated in the former capital of Macedonia, offering a glimpse into the grandeur and history of this ancient civilization.

  • Veria (Acts 17:10-16)
  • Vergina – Tomb of King Phillip (father of Alexander the Great)
  • Kalambaka – where we are greeted by breathtaking scenery. Here, we encounter the renowned Byzantine monasteries, perched dramatically atop towering rock pinnacles. Originally established as retreats for hermits in AD 985, these monasteries evolved over time, with the construction of a small church in the 14th century marking the beginning of their expansion.
  • Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka.

DAY 6: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2025 – KALAMBAKA / ATHENS
A total of 23 monasteries were erected on these sheer rock faces. Serving as a distinctive testament to monastic life since the 14th century, these monasteries stand as a remarkable example of spiritual devotion amidst awe-inspiring natural surroundings.

DAY 7: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2025 – ATHENS
Today we see Athens, renowned for its illustrious history!  See this city as the Apostle Paul saw Athens. 

  • Acropolis, Greece’s crowning glory (Acts 17:16-32)
    • Propylaia
    • Temple of Athena Nike
    • Erechtheion
    • The Parthenon, epitome of Ancient Greek architecture
  • Mars Hill, where Apostle Paul confronted idolatrous beliefs and delivered his renowned speech (Acts 17:22-31)
  • See the Dionysus Theater, House of Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and ancient Agora (marketplace)
  • Dinner and overnight in Athens.

DAY 8: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2025 – CORINTH / MYCENAE / ATHENS
A short drive this morning takes us along Paul’s journey to Corinth where me meets Priscilla and Aquila. 

  • Corinth (Acts 18) – a bustling hub of trade and culture in ancient Greece, situated on the narrow stretch of land connecting the Peloponnese with mainland Greece. During the time of the Apostle Paul, Corinth was a prosperous and cosmopolitan city known for its wealth and diversity. It was also home to one of the early Christian communities to which Paul wrote his epistles.
  • Mycenae –a powerful city-state in ancient Greece and a center of the Mycenaean civilization, flourished from approximately 1600 to 1100 BCE. Famed for its legendary king Agamemnon, Mycenae played a crucial role in Greek mythology and history.Dinner and overnight in Athens.

DAY 9: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2025 – RETURN TO THE USA or EMBARK ON OPTIONAL ISRAEL EXTENSION

DAY 9: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2025 – DEPART ATHENS, GREECE FOR TEL AVIV, ISRAEL / JERUSALEM
Following breakfast, we check out of the hotel and transfer to the Athens Airport for our flight to Tel Aviv, Israel. Tour group will be met at Ben Gurion airport and assisted with arrival procedures. 

  • Begin our journey by driving to Tel Aviv, where we’ll enjoy views of the Israel coast and the Mediterranean.
  • Jaffa (Joppa): Discover the historic charm of this ancient port city, known for its association with biblical tales and its vibrant arts scene.
  • Jerusalem: Immerse ourselves in the spiritual and cultural heart of Israel, exploring its sacred sites, diverse neighborhoods, and storied history.
  • Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 10: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2025 – JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM           
Jerusalem! Jerusalem! Life up your gates and sing, Hosanna in the highest, Hosanna to the King!

  • Palm Sunday Road and Garden of Gethsemane:
    • Descend along the Palm Sunday Road to the serene Garden of Gethsemane, where ancient olive trees whisper tales of the past.
    • Visit the Church of All Nations, believed to be where Jesus prayed on the night of His betrayal (Matt. 26:36, John 18:1).
  • Zion Gate and Pools of Bethesda:
    • Enter the Old City of Jerusalem through the Zion Gate, proceeding to the historic Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus healed a cripple.
    • Explore St. Anne’s Crusader Church, renowned for its magnificent acoustics, before continuing our pilgrimage.
  • The Pavement and Via Dolorosa:
    • Visit the Pavement, where Jesus stood while being tried by Pilate, immersing ourselves in the profound history of the site.
    • Follow the Via Dolorosa, retracing the steps of Jesus, culminating in a visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher
  •  Western Wall and Western Wall Tunnel:
    • Approach the Western Wall, a sacred site where Jews gather for prayer and reflection, with the opportunity to tour the Western Wall Tunnel.
    • Contemplate the significance of the Temple area, once purchased by King David (2 Samuel 24:18-25), now adorned by the golden Dome of the Rock and the El-Aksa Mosque.
  • Bethlehem and Shepherd’s Field:
    • Travel to Bethlehem to visit the revered Church of the Nativity, marking the sacred birthplace of Jesus.
    • Explore Shepherd’s Field, a pastoral setting imbued with biblical significance, where the angelic announcement of Jesus’ birth was made to the shepherds.

DAY 11: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2025 – JERUSALEM                                       
Following breakfast, we revel in the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells of the Holy City!

  • Israel Museum:
    • We will marvel at the Shrine of the Book, housing the Dead Sea Scrolls, providing insights into ancient Jewish life and thought.
    • Explore the 1:50 scale model of Jerusalem, depicting the city as it would have appeared during Jesus’ time, offering a fascinating glimpse into the past.
  • Golgotha and the Garden Tomb:
    • Sacred sites for reflection, worship, and communion.
    • Take time for quiet contemplation amidst the serene surroundings, connecting deeply with the spiritual significance of these hallowed places.
  • Free Afternoon to rest, explore, shop, return to the Old City on your own

DAY 12: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2025 – JUDEAN WILDERNESS / DEAD SEA                                   
Today’s adventure leads us on a picturesque journey as we travel through the desert to the Dead Sea.   Jordan River to the lowest point on Earth, the remarkable Dead Sea. Journeying through the desert by the Dead Sea offers captivating sights of arid landscapes, date palm groves, salt formations, and rugged mountains

  • Ein Gedi:
    • Explore the serene beauty of Ein Gedi, an oasis nestled in the desert landscape.
    • Connect with the biblical narrative as you explore the area where David sought refuge from King Saul, as recounted in 1 Samuel 24:1-7.
  • Masada: 
  • formidable fortress constructed by King Herod and renowned as the site of the last Jewish resistance against the Romans in 73 AD.
    • Ascend Masada by cable car, granting us panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
    • Survey the extensive ruins of Masada, including fortifications, waterworks, a synagogue, temples, and palaces, offering insights into ancient Jewish life and history.
  •   Qumran:

CANCELLATION PENALTY POLICY FOR ALL TOUR REGISTRANTS

  • Any individual canceling between the date of registration and the Final Payment Due Date (Final Payment Due Date is 100 days prior to the tour departure date) will be penalized $500 per person non-refundable and non-transferable administrative cost plus any non-refundable third-party supplier cost/s
  • Any individual canceling between 99 – 85 days prior to the scheduled departure date we will be penalized the entire tour deposit plus 10% of the total tour cost and any nonrefundable payments to any third-party supplier.
  • Any individual canceling between 84- 55 days prior to the scheduled departure date we will be penalized 50% of the total tour cost plus any nonrefundable payments to any third-party supplier.
  • Any individual canceling between 54 – 45 days prior to the scheduled departure date will be penalized 80 % of the total tour cost plus any nonrefundable payments to any third-party supplier.
  • Any individual canceling between 44 – 0 days prior to the scheduled departure date will be penalized 100 % of the total tour cost.
  • Any individual canceling less than 60 days prior to the tour departure date and causes their assigned roommate to room alone and if there is no one to be assigned as the person’s roommate, then the person canceling will be responsible to pay the Single Supplement fee.
  • If a roommate is subsequently found for the remaining roommate, then the Single Supplement fee will be refunded to the canceling individual. 
  • Allow up to 8 weeks for any refund to be issued.
